More than 6,000 fans attended the Bundesliga Experience Brasil in Rio de Janeiro this past weekend, November 9-10, an event held together with FOX Sports Brasil on the city’s famous Ipanema beach. The Brazilian Bundesliga legends Zé Roberto, Tinga, Paulo Sérgio and Juan joined fans for a number of football activities and watched ‘Der Klassiker’, the biggest game in German football between FC Bayern and Borussia Dortmund, on a big screen.

Countless activations and a local beach soccer tournament were also part of the attractions and despite the rain that poured over Rio on Saturday, Bundesliga fans did not miss one single minute of the action. We had teqball tables, shooting target challenges and mascots from FC Bayern (Berni) and Bayer Leverkusen (Brian the Lion) were present. Fans also celebrated an All-Star Match comprised of the Bundesliga legends mentioned above, as well as local influencers like Natalia Guitler, a foot-volley personality, and Neném Sassarico, legend from the Brazilian National Team of Beach Soccer.

We also set up a mobile studio for FOX Sports Brasil which broadcasted live from Ipanema Beach for about six hours, detailing fans at home with every single moment happening at the Bundesliga Experience.
